Interior Design Show Toronto 2018 (IDS)

We eagerly await the annual Interior Design Show Toronto and this year too it did not disappoint. The IDS is Canada's premier showcase of new products and furniture, Super Star Designers and Avant -Garde concepts from North America and beyond. This year we took our daughters along and they enjoyed it just as much. 

While there are many products that impressed us our Top 3 favorites would have to be the wall mounted linear drains for luxury washrooms by Zitta, the eclectic wallpaper collection by Fine & Dandy Co. and the stunning modern custom lighting by Mathew McCormick.

First up were the lighting booths with Mathew McCormicks custom collection simply blowing us away. This one here with the ovals and ball light allude to a 'mother holding a child' being my favorite I love how he has used gold and copper to create these one of a kind pieces where the light is entrancing and the play of shadows on the walls is an art display in itself.

While I was checking out lighting Dhiraj was focused on the new bath products in the market. He has a number of luxury washrooms in the pipeline and wants to offer our clients the best options out there.

Loved the entire furniture and lighting collection designed by Hollis & Morris. This modern take on the farmhouse table with the rose gold detail is so impressive. Rose Gold is very much here to stay people, saw it repeated multiple times on furniture and finishes

One of the booths was promoting their grand pianos and so our Aaliyah gave it a try. Now she wants one and I might have to sell off both my kidneys and a lung for it.

We look forward to the IDS every year and are so very glad our girls enjoyed it just as much. The show left us enlightened and educated on the innovative products hitting up the market, allowing us to offer a better service and options to our valued clients. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018

Hey everyone!!

Happy New Year!!! 2018!!!! Wishing everyone a wonderful start to this year, it feels so promising and full of potential. I also prefer even numbers....2018......so this..year feels so good already. We are very excited for the coming months and wanted to share with you what`s going on in our world.

Firstly we won BEST OF HOUZZ 2018, that makes it three years in a row. We are so very grateful for this recognition from Houzz and our wonderful clients. Dhiraj and I joined forces around 3 years ago and there has been no looking back since then. What started out as Dhiraj remodelling our own home to friends & family entrusting us with their homes, and now working on new builds; more design & decor work; and finding our niche in this wonderful industry.

While the pic above shows the completed projects for 2017 we have 4 projects going on right now that we will be shooting in the coming weeks. Two luxury washrooms and two modern bars. Heated floors, curbless shower, custom vanity, custom mirror are just some of the features in the luxury washrooms that we have renamed "Poshroom" because really! It is so posh!

The bars are both unique and special with one really showing off our clients heritage and the other showing off our clients impressive collection. Another thing we are working on is our website - that is my baby, my creation and something I tweak everyday to reflect who we are and the direction we are going in. We've hired Maya, a very talented copy writer to help us update our website and to make the about page & services offerings more succinct. We wanted to streamline our core areas of focus which is more design & decor work and high end luxury washrooms. Washrooms are something Dhiraj is very good at and we want to be able to offer all of the bell and whistles to our clients, budget providing. Hit up Maya Noronha if you are looking for excellent copy writing services. She is a wonderful listener and does magic with words. 

We have also been working on two new build homes that will get revealed sometime this year. This is huge for us as being involved from the very beginning in the creative process is what we do best. Both homes are very modern with contemporary interiors and clean lines and we can't wait to show you the finished product.

The Interior Design Show is on right now and we will be going on Sunday to see the latest and greatest in the world of design. This year they are launching some amazing new lighting designs and bath fittings that we are looking forward to seeing.
